Extron's matrix switcher series are available with a variety of features to meet the needs of different applications. Configurations range from 6 x 2 (six inputs by two outputs) to 128 x 128 (128 inputs by 128 outputs). For additional flexibility, inputs and outputs can be added to specific switcher lines (described as "modular") while they are in the field.

Each matrix switching application is unique. That's why Extron offers several categories of matrix switchers:

MMX Series The Extron MMX Series VGA and Video Mini Matrix Switchers are part of the VersaTools™ line of compact , economical products. Housed in 1U high, half rack width enclosures for easy integration into a variety of environments, the MMX Series accepts and distributes composite video, S-video, or VGA-UXGA and stereo audio(balanced/unbalanced) signals.
MAV Video Series Designed for video applications that route composite, S-video, or component video and stereo audio (balanced/unbalanced) signals. Provides a minimum of 80 MHz (-3dB) video bandwidth, fully loaded.
Digital XPoint Series The Extron Digital XPoint Series is a line of digital matrix switchers, ideal for switching multiple serial digital video (SDI)signals to multiple digital video devices in post production studios, non-linear editing suites, and video broadcast studios.
MSV Series The Inline MSV Series features VGA and stereo audio matrix switchers compatible with RGBHV, RGBS, RGsB, and component video signals. Provides 450 MHz (-3dB) video bandwidth, fully loaded.
CrossPoint Series Designed for analog, high resolution computer-video applications using RGsB, RGBS, or RGBHV video signals and low resolution video. Provides stereo audio switching (balanced/unbalanced) and 200 or 300 MHz (-3dB) RGB video bandwidth, fully loaded.
CrossPoint Plus Series Designed for the same types of signals as the CrossPoint Series, with more video bandwidth. Provides stereo audio switching (balanced/unbalanced) and ultra-widebadn 425 MHz (-3dB) RGB video bandwidth, fully loaded.
Matrix 50 Series Configurable video matrix switchers designed for applications requiring expandable routers capable of switching any type of analog, high resolution RGB and low resolution video signal. Provides stereo audio switching (balanced/unbalanced) and is available in an audio-only version. Any version with video provides a minimum of 150 MHz (-3dB) video bandwidth, fully loaded.
Matrix 3200/6400 Series Modular RGB and video matrix switchers designed for applications requiring expandable routers. Provides stereo audio switching (balanced/unbalanced). Available in four models with flexible configurations up to 64x64-wideband [430 MHz (-3dB) video bandwidth, fully loaded], sync, and audio-only versions.
Matrix 12800 Series Modular RGB and video matrix switchers designed for very large applications requiring expandable routers. Provides stereo audio switching (balanced/unbalanced). Available in three models with flexible configurations up to 128x128-wideband [375 Hz (3dB) video bandwidth, fully loaded), sync, and audio-only versions.
ISM Series The Extron ISM Series are Integration Scaling Matrix switchers with eight fully configurable inputs and two audio/video outputs that feature built-in scalers for both video outputs. Accepts many types of inputs including RGB, HDTV/component video, S-video, and/or composite video and stereo audio.
