	Step 2: How are they used?
	Switchers can be used in a wide range of applications where multiple video and/or audio sources are being displayed by one or more devices: in lecture halls, conference rooms, home theaters, etc. Here's an example of an application using a switcher. Two laptop computers are connected to the Extron SW2 VGA DA2 A, a two input switcher and distribution amplifier. The video and audio signals from the computer are then output to two video display devices - a monitor and an LCD projector - and one stereo audio device. Users can now route the video from each computer for display on either the projector or the monitor.
